ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Oct, 2022 ) :Protesting farmers on Tuesday ended their sit-in after a breakthrough in negotiations with the Federal Government about their calls for.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif had constituted a ministerial committee to resolve the growers’ points, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah advised newsmen after holding talks with the farmers.

The committee, he stated, would maintain negotiations with the farmers on Wednesday and all their points could be settled down.

The minister urged the farmers and their supporters to return to their houses because the ministerial committee would tackle all their reservations. “The country will prosper once the farmers prosper,” he added.

The Kissan Ittehad, comprising farmers from throughout Punjab, has been demanding the restoration of earlier tube-well electrical energy tariff of Rs 5.
