A hurricane warning has been issued for Jamaica and from the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince to Punta Palenque within the Dominican Republic. A hurricane watch was in impact for the Cuban provinces of Camaguey, Granma, Guantanamo, Holguin, Las Tunas and Santiago de Cuba. A few of these provinces have reported excessive numbers of COVID-19 infections, elevating fears the storm will drive massive teams of individuals to hunt shelter collectively.
