Earlier within the day, Dmitry Zhivitsky, the top of Sumy Regional State Administration, stated that an ammonia leak was detected at a chemical facility, including that the incident occurred at 4:30 a.m. native time (2:30 GMT). On Saturday, the Russian protection ministry warned about the specter of provocations with poisonous chemical compounds within the space by Ukrainian nationalists backed by the US and several other EU nations with a view to pin the fault on the Russian military.
“In the city of Sumy, a planned provocation by Ukrainian nationalists, about which the Russian Ministry of Defense officially warned a few days ago, was carried out at night,” informed reporters.
