The thirteenth TCM Classic Film Festival obtained underway with a full day of occasions, movies, and talks. Kicking all of it off was the “Meet TCM,” an occasion designed particularly to share staffer perception into the community, the way it’s produced and what’s arising. In addition, the wildly in style, “So You Think You Know Movies,” was crammed to the rafters on the Roosevelt Hotel as film buffs and movie fanatics battled it out on this fun-filled annual quiz competitors headed up by Bruce Goldstein, founding father of Rialto Pictures and the repertory program director of New York’s Film Forum. The Opening Night Reception this yr was held poolside on the Hollywood Roosevelt. And with out additional adieu, the fortieth anniversary of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial on the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX formally opened the 2022 competition.
